Healthcare & Socialism

Healthcare reform as the Democrats are pushing it will become nothing more than socialized health care. The Democrats say that Limbaugh, Hannity and the right are all lying about reform. How come the Left only tell the truth and the Right only tells lies? Makes you wonder does it not?

The President says that there are no “Death Panels” in the Healthcare Reform Bill. If that were true, than why did the senate say that they were taking the “Death Panel” language out of the bill?

The President says, “If you like your current healthcare then you can keep it.” Think about that while considering the whole picture of healthcare reform. We’re told that a government option will force the Insurance to lower rates. How? I pay for my own insurance. It cost a lot of money. If the government option cost less would I not buy it to save myself money?

Let’s up the scale. Small business supplies the larges percentage on jobs. Most of these businesses are in the income range of $200,000 or greater range. The one the Obama wants to raise taxes on because they can afford it. Let’s see, higher taxes, increasing healthcare cost (which is a fact of life) and a government option that will cost less. Will it does not take a rocket scientist to see that even paying the penalty for not having healthcare for your employees (this is in the bill) will move employers to drop coverage and let you go to paying for your own government option. The current bills going through the process have a 7% to 9% penalty for not having healthcare coverage for employees. On average most business pay 12% to cover their employees. Are you starting to see the picture here? If the penalty is less then the healthcare, than how many businesses will start dropping healthcare coverage for their employees?

The President says it is silly to say that there will be rationing in his health care plan. Look at the fact that the left says that there are 46 million without healthcare right now. Also, look at the fact that there is a shortage of doctors most notably in the general practitioner field. Add 46 million more people to the mix and you can’t help but have a bigger shortage of doctors to treat people. That is another 46 million people getting healthcare, which means paying out more money to pay for their visits to the doctors office, which means a greater burden on the government options financial sources (the rich making over $250,000, ones who employ most of the workers).

Income is finite which means that there is only so much to go around. If the government takes it from the rich, how long before the rich say forget it because it is not worth it? I read an anthology on socialism, which applies to what I am saying.

An economics professor failed an entire class because they insisted that socialism would work. They believed that there would be no rich or poor and that everything would be equal. History has taught us differently even in our own country. Think of the Pilgrims. So he decided to experiment with the class. He would average all grades and everyone in the class would have the same grade. The class as a whole believed this was good because no one would fail and no one would receive an A either.

After the first test everyone in the class received a B based on the average of all grades in the class. The students who spent a lot of time studying were not that pleased because their hard work did not earn them the grade they had expected. The students who put little effort into studying were thrilled as they put little in but received a greater reward.

As the second test approached the students who put a lot of effort into studying put less effort into studying and the student who worked a little worked even less. The end result for the class was a D for that test.

After the third test all student in the class were failing and were very unhappy. This was an example of socialism at it’s best. It proves that socialism does not work. There is no country that has gone socialist and survived. When there is no reward than there is no gain. When the reward is a great the effort the effort to achieve is great.

We see the Left working hard to pass Healthcare and I have to ask why? Is all their hard work going to pay off? If it is, than for whom? Would the left work so hard for healthcare if were not going to benefit them in some way and if so, than how will it benefit them? There is only one way it could and that is political power. Power over your life, and power to keep them in office. The right wants everyone to benefit by creating an environment where all can prosper as the founders had envisioned. In that way they benefit.

The Democrats will add to their playbook, “If you elect Republican, they will take healthcare away from you.” They keep using this tactic on seniors with social security and with black by saying, “Another Black Churches will burn if you elect Republicans.” The “Rack Card!” Democrats use it in every election. In 2008 they were the only ones to mention that Senator Obama was black. They said that is why Republicans won’t vote for him. However, Republicans were doing as Dr. Martian Luther King dreamed. We looked at the content of his character and not the color of his skin. Obama hung around with socialist professors in college. He started his political career in the living room of a friend who was an admitted terrorist. Obama’s character is that of a socialist. He has said he wants to change America for life. Change it for life how?
