Happy Anniversary?

One year ago President Obama signed the $786 billion stimulus package into law. Currently the CBO says the true cost of the stimulus package is $862 billion and that does not include interest, which would put its true cost closer to $1.2 trillion.

The President said that he needed congress to push the package through quickly so the unemployment rate would not go over 8%. On this anniversary the unemployment rate is around 10% with the real unemployment rate is close to 17%

In 2009 there was less than 30% of the stimulus package spent, which is a little more than was designed by the law. In 2010 an election year, some 40% of the package is due to be spent. So you need to ask your Congressman why did we spend so little money when the economy needed the money in 2009? Why are we spending so much in an election year?

It would be interesting to hear the falsehood he comes up with. I am sure he would not admit to the true cost and that it was by design that they are spending the majority of the stimulus in 2010 & 2012.
